Training & Placement Cell Overview
The Training and Placement Program at MIT School of Fine Arts and Applied Arts has been integrated an Internship with the curriculum as a mandatory 120 Days long Industry-project to help students identify and plan their career goals and paths. The Academic Internship Program can ease the transition from college to the workplace, from student to employee. Academic internships are learning experiences that support and expand on theoretical concepts and classroom instruction. This final semester internship is a credit-bearing internship at the end of which they present their work in front of a panel with external and internal jury members as their graduation project.
Placement Policy
The Placement Policy will be applicable to all students registered for the campus placements of MIT School of Fine Arts and Applied Arts and is to be followed for the entire duration of the placement season for that Academic Year
Eligibility
- All full-time registered students at MITSoFA are expected to complete their program without backlogs and are eligible to register with the Training & Placements (T&P) Department for the campus placements
- For Final Placements, all the courses of the previous semesters should be cleared, and the students shouldn’t have pending submission and backlogs.
- Students interested in participating in the campus placements and who require assistance with final placements, and internships should stay connected with the T & P department and registered with Calyxpod.
- Once a student applies to an organization the student has to complete all the requisite steps and follow all the instructions mentioned by the T & P department.
- Students need to apply to the respective organizations by replying to the email and/or following any other specific instructions mentioned.
- Students will be supported for all placement related activities till June of that Academic year
